18 Months

He really seems like a toddler now! Wow. 18 months!

Stats: He weighs 27lbs and is wearing
2T clothes. He is in size 5 diapers and size 9 shoes. He has very blonde hair with some hints of strawberry every so often. His eyes are blue like the rest of the crew.

Personality: Dare I say it... We have turned a corner!!! Oh my word. He was such a challenging baby to me. He cried and screamed a lot. And now? He is so sweet! He is incredibly lovey and gives hugs and kisses all the time! He is pretty happy and cooperative overall. He is so FUN! He is incredibly determined and knows exactly what he wants. I am fully convinced that he has been like that since birth. As a baby he knew exactly what he wanted and if he didn't get it just right he let me know it. As he has grown and has gotten more independence he is so much happier. He has a voice and can get his point across without screaming at me all day. Joy. Bliss. Happy feelings. Seriously being screamed at all day is so frazzling and exhausting. Doing my happy dance about now!

Milestones: He is slowly adding words to his vocabulary. He knows all the kids names and Crash. He can say, "Hi, bye, where, all done, more, help, mom and dad." He can sign please and more but usually just tries to talk now. He runs everywhere! He has learned to climb out of his crib! Sheesh!!! We converted the crib to a toddler bed and he slept his first night in it last night! Naps have recently been a big problem. He used to sleep in his pack n play for naps in our room. However now nap time is a game of "get out of the pack n play and catch me" over and over again. Soooo I need to figure out a new routine for that obviously. Ha! He is starting to use utensils. He drinks out of a big boy cup no more sippys! Woo!!!

Dislikes: Being told "no", not able to keep up with the other kids, recieving help, having other kids sit in momma's lap

Likes: water play, outside, balls, cars, bananas, milk, his blue blanket, singing songs, being held, tight squeezes, drinking out of moms cup or water bottles, remotes and wrestling.

He is such a funny boy. Full of mischief and spunk. He is quick to snuggle and love. He is an escape artist and a daredevil (seriously scares us on a regular basis). He is very smart and determined. He loves to be one of the gang.

Max you are a monkey and life just wouldn't be the same without you!

  1. What a sweetie! This was the same with Ann's 4th (Kyle). He was fussy and around 18 months turned a corner as well :). Love little Max!
