Spoken Gems

We were listening to the radio and Lady Gaga's Applause came on. It is so catchy so we all listened and danced along. Some of the lyrics are: "I live for the applause, applause, applause. I live for the applause, plause. I live for the applause plause." Later in the day:

Saffryn singing to that tune: "Emily a nause, nause, nause. Emily a nause." after a few rounds of it she stopped and looked at me.
"Mom. Who is Emily?"

-----------

Pierce pointing to his hand. "Mom I have owie."
Me: "Oh yeah. Sorry buddy."
Pierce: "Mom. Don't eat it."
Me: "Uhhh. What? That's disgusting."
Pierce: "Ya. So dont eat it."
Me thinking when have I EVER put my mouth near one of their owies. Um gross! Seriously kid? "Ok. I wont."
Pierce nodding slowly and walks away apparently satisfied with the conversation.

Spoken Gems

While we were outside playing:

Saffryn: "The mosquitoes will be coming out in 10 minutes. When they come out they will suck your blood. So let me tell you the rules: when they suck your blood you get a leaf and tickle it. That distracts it. Then you get a big stick and hit 'em. That's how you do it."

-------------------

Pierce got in his chair and in a really rude voice said, "Push me mom."
Me: "I don't like the way you said that. You don't talk to people that way. You will need to be patient and wait a minute because I am finishing getting dinner on plates."
Pierce with a big dramatic sigh, "Fine. I'll wait forever."

Colt's First K-State Game

You will notice that there are no pictures in this blog. I so meant to get pictures of Colt and one of all of us together. So why didn't I get any pictures? Because I spent the entire time chasing, holding or feeding Colt. Haha!

During the tailgate he managed to run away from us in any direction. He would grab a little food then take off. Or he would grab something to drink, spill it everywhere then take off.

We made it into the stadium and he loved the pregame show. It was Harley day and he thought that was pretty cool. Side note: someone proposed while riding their Harley around the stadium. It was so sweet and fun! Anyway Colt loved the music playing, clapping along with everyone and watching all the happenings.

The game started and he thought that was B-O-R-I-N-G! He then tried so hard to wiggle down and away from me so we went up to the top. Well I did. With all 3. I decided to get us some snacks only to find my wallet not in my purse. 30 minutes later found it in my car. Sheesh!

After some snacks and run away from mom time we went down to our seats again. Once again he loved halftime but once the game was back on he was really done. This time Dan kept the big kids and I just took him. That was much easier on me and Colt got to wander to his hearts content.

Needless to say when I got home I collapsed on the bed! We had fun but boy oh boy does Colt know how to keep busy :)

Apples

Hi.

Remember me?

I used to write down stories and memories from our life. I have been absent from here for a bit. I won't really say why. But I am back and ready to document our life once more.

Without further ado...our recent trip to the apple orchard.

Oh man, it was a blast! We were the ONLY ones there, which made it even more fun. We got to wander, pick and eat apples and this little farm had chickens! We even had Gigi with us! What more could we ask for????

Colt did a lot of this. He loved eating the apples. Once one was done he would fuss until we handed him another one!

Like his new haircut?

Pierce enjoyed his apples but most of all he loved...

The chickens!!!

He followed them around and laughed at everything they did! We need to get this boy out in the country more!

Saffryn was such a big help! She loved finding just the right apples and filling our bags up!

What's a trip without a few selfies?

Selfie #1

And a few group photos.

What a fun day! Can't wait to venture out in my culinary skills and make some apple recipes!

Happy Fall!
