6 Months
This little boy is 22lbs 95% and 27 1/4 inches 70%. He is in 18 months clothes and size 5 diapers. He is a beast :)
He can roll over, sit up on his own, transfer toys from hand to hand, responds to his name and gets on his hands and knees.
He is still only breasted. I am still dairy free. He loves drinking small amounts of water from his sippy cup. He refuses to take a bottle which is a new development. He has also recently dropped his binky habit. It is so weird.
He has big blue eyes and light brown hair. I am pretty sure he teething. No teeth popping through, but his gums are very swollen and he is fussy and drooly.
We are still trying to figure out sleep. He is sleeping in the pack n play in the living room. He just wakes up every few hours. I am not sure if he is actually hungry (maybe I need to start solids) or just has bad habits (maybe I need to sleep train). Either way we need to get this figured out!!! :)
He loves his siblings! He wants to be involved in everything!!! He gets frustrated when he can't get what he wants. He is starting to really vocalize his opinions! He is my little monkey and I love him so!!!

Spoken Gems
Out of nowhere Saffryn says:
"I don't want to be in the jungle cage with all the wild animals. I just want to be with mom and dad."
------------------
Saffryn was playing with her "buitar" (guitar). She wanted me to cheer after each song. So she played a song and I clapped and cheered. Then she sat there for a bit not doing anything.
So I said, "Are you going to play another one?"
Saffryn, "It just takes a minute to load up."
------------------
Saffryn has been asking about toys a lot recently and we have been trying to explain that you don't just get a new toy whenever you want. They come on special occasions...like a birthday. We could make a list of different toys that she would like to give people ideas on what to get her. Though she will not get everything on her list. She loved the idea and wanted to do one right away. So her list looked like this:
Boy barbies
Girl barbies
chalk
Tiana (princess from The Princess and the Frog)
Blue bear (Pierce has one so naturally she wants on, too)
Pretty much what I expected. Pierce wanted to make a list, too. So I asked him what he wanted for his birthday.
Daddy
Daddy bear
Juice
Milk
Hahahah!

Wrestle Mania
I caught him doing it a second time. Both boys were laughing. So I didn't scold...I took pictures.
Boys will be boys I guess. LOL.
Did you notice Saffryn in the background of all the pictures but not actually wrestling? Girls will be girls...

The Giraffe
This actually happened a month or so ago but I forgot to blog about it!
We were at a toy store so Saffryn could spend her birthday money! She had received some little calico critters for Christmas and was eager to add to her collection. We looked and searched for just the right thing. I was so proud of her for understanding she had a limit and couldn't just get anything she wanted. She knew she had to pick just two things. She seriously did awesome. Pierce did, too (Colt was asleep in the carseat). He was SO patient while she searched and thought about what she wanted. I wanted to reward him for his amazing behavior.
I spotted a shelf full of plastic animals. So we walked over there and I told him since he was so patient he could pick out ONE animal. He immediately grabbed a horse. I wanted to make sure he wanted that one so I pointed out a few animals and he grabbed them. Oops. My mistake. Only ONE. So we put them all back. Then I had him pick out what he wanted. The same horse was chosen. Awesome. Now we head to the cashier.
Pierce stops and turns around. He walks back to the animals. We follow him. He grabs a giraffe. No buddy, only ONE. Put it back. He looks at me and says "giraffe". Do you want the giraffe? You can only have ONE. "No." Okay. So let's put it back. "NO. Giraffe. Colt." Oooohhhh. I get it. Colt needs a toy, too. "YEA! Colt." He then puts the giraffe in the carseat for Colt. He remembered all the rest of the day and shortly after that. He kept giving it to Colt and didn't play with it.
I would never have predicted the love that Pierce has for Colt. He is so crazy about him. They share an amazing bond and I am so thankful for that.
I sure love my boys!
