Nothing But Pictures

Ok I lied. I can't stand not talking (even in blog form)... Poor little baby has a stomach bug here but is still smiling!
Ain't no crazy like our crazy! Yes, we did walk around the whole store together like this! We had a good ole time!
Baby selfie!
Pierce got some model rockets from Dan for Christmas. It was going to be his special time to have with his dad. When it came time to shoot them off he requested it be a whole family event. Sweetest little boy! So we all went out and had a blast (except Max who was terrified. Lol!).

A friend left his hat at our house and he just had to try it on!
Beautiful sunset
Colt is well on his way to becoming a break dancer!
The boys had a zoo day while Saffryn was gone from her trip.
Speaking of Saffryn the poor girl had to get a tooth pulled. She was having a lot of trouble with one tooth and it ended up getting infected so the dentist had to pull it. She was so brave (I was such a nervous wreck. I forgot to ask the dentist all the questions I wanted and had to call back later. Hahah!). I was sad this had to happen and that this was the first tooth she lost. But she got money under her pillow so that made up for a lot! :)
The boys playing in flour after baking
Max got these tents for Christmas and Crash went in to take a nap. So funny.
The kid table!
How we roll around the neighborhood. Thanks Papa and Gigi for the fun toys!
Pierce's love of art is contagious!

That's all for now!

Work Trip

Dan had a conference he needed to attend down in Galveston this week. After discussing it we decided the kids and I would join him!
Matching Jammies at the hotel!
Playing!
We went to breakfast at the Waffle House! For some reason my kids are obsessed with this place!
Throwing tantrums on the beach!
Saffryn LOVES the ocean!
Showing me his shells.
This boy loves having space to explore and play on his own. He made dirt roads out of rocks and just played so happily by himself.
Max played worth him for a few minutes.
Silly kids.
They kept saying they were beach partners.
Little Max is an explorer (and rascal)
Blue eyes!
We went to the Moody Gardens. While we were there the fire alarm went off and gave us quite the scare. We waited outside for a bit and then got the all clear to go back in.
Colt zoning out during lunch. Kid was getting pooped out!
We had a fun couple of days! So thankful  we were able to join Dan on this trip! We love being able to make some fun memories as a family!

Sickness

I'm Last night was one of the roughest I've had in a long time!

It all started a few days ago with a slight cough from Max and Colt. No biggie. Kids get sick. Yesterday Colt had a fever along with his cough. I gave him some Tylenol and called it fine. Max was a little clingy so I figured he wasn't feeling well either but we had a good afternoon so I didn't think too much of it.

Then came bedtime. Max cried off and on for an hour after I put him to bed. When I went to go check on him he was curled up with his eyes closed just sobbing. It was so sad. So I knew he wasn't feeling well. I picked him up and knew he had a fever. I decided to go snuggle with him for a bit to see if that would help.

While I was snuggling him Pierce woke up screaming. That kid never wakes up at night so I knew something was up. He kept crying about his ear. We have him some Tylenol and put him back to bed. He had a hard time settling so I put Max back in bed and snuggled between the two helping them fall asleep. No sooner did I get them asleep when Colt started crying and saying, "slow down. Slow down. Please slow down."  Nightmare. Poor baby. So I woke him up and comforted him. Got him back to sleep then Max woke up again. Continue this cycle all. Night. Long.
But truthfully it wasn't all bad. It was kind of sweet listening to them breathe and move around. I loved them reaching out for my hand and being comforted by my touch and voice. I had lots of time to pray for them and think about how much I love them and how unique and special they are!
I had to snap a few pictures because they were being so sweet. Besides getting to snuggle them and feel all lovey dovey about the boys I got a lot of reading done! I started one of my book club books and I am seriously loving it!!

Anyway after a night of being woke up every 30/40 minutes I knew we needed to go see the doctor this morning and see what was going on. Dan took the morning off to help me since all four kids didn't feel well! Thanks love!!! While at the office he took this picture:
Sad looking group.

It turns out that Pierce has a double ear infection. Poor kid. Now wonder he woke up screamig. Saffryn has a mild ear infection (she also woke up once last night complaining about her ear). Max has some viral cold thing (the doctor said he probably felt the worst because of his sore throat and drainage but his probably just needed to run its course.) and Colt has a respiratory problem. They gave us breathing treatments to help him because his O2 levels were around 93/94. We will have to do a recheck tomorrow to make sure breathing treatments help.

Whoa. That escalated quickly! So thankful for modern medicine! After we got some prescriptions filled and at a quick lunch I put on pbs so the kids could rest.
Sweet baby boy fell asleep on the floor. Oh my poor boy.
If you need us we will be watching The Wild Kratts all day trying to get better!!!
