Birthday party

Today we celebrated Colt's third birthday (a little early)!!!

How? HOW is this little guy three?!?!? In some ways it seems like this was just yesterday!
Look at that boy. Sweet itty bitty baby.
Ahhhhh!!! Three years ago he was just a tiny peanut.

But now he is a big boy and so very proud of it!!!
Rocking his Mikey baby. Lol!

So for his party he wanted a Lightning McQueen and Mater theme! When I asked him who he wanted to invite to his party he would say, "Max, Pierce, Saffryn, Mom and Dad." He also said some
aunts and uncles and grandparents. I kept asking if he wanted anyone other friends to come but it was always the same with him just saying his siblings. If that isn't the absolute sweetest thing I don't know what is! And let's face it, a small family party makes my life easier!!!
This morning Dan took the three boys out to Burger King for breakfast to let them play and to get out of the house so I could get it ready! Saffryn decided to stay home and help me and boy she was truly a help!!! I'm not sure everything would have gotten done without her! And she was so cheerful and excited. I loved our time together. When the boys got home Colt was so excited and surprised to see the house decorated. It was so fun! Papa, Gigi and Abbie joined us and we began the party!

We decided to have a hotdog bar for lunch. Colt also requested watermelon, grapes and chips. It wasn't anything fancy but it was yummy!!!

After lunch we had some games planned.
We had car races and car painting!
Before we cleaned up our paint mess the adults got to shoot the kids with silly string!!!! (Side note: my kids have leftover face paint on their face from a party they went to yesterday which they did not want to take off. That might explain a little. Hehe)
Colt wasn't sure what to think of it
Saffryn and Pierce loved it
Max hated it and was so scared
And somehow Gigi got more on her than anyone else did!!! Hahah!!!

After that clean up we had...
A piƱata!!!!

So fun!

After that we had cake!

He was so happy with his cake and loved getting to drive the cars around after they were cleaned off! After cake we had presents which I forgot to take pictures of. He made out like a bandit and got a set of tracks from the movie Cars and seriously 4 or 5 Lightening McQueen matchbox cars. Haha! He was in heaven! He played with it for hours!!!

Oh how we love our little Colt! It is so fun to celebrate him. We love how he adds so much to our family. We love his tender and loving heart and his busy body. We love his sense of humor and his inability to sit still. We love his thick dark hair and his bright blue eyes. We love absolutely everything about him.
Happy Third Birthday sweet Colty Darren.
