Yay for summer

Can it be? Could we finally be having some summer weather????

We are taking advantage of the break in rain to enjoy so summer activities. Splash parks, pools and playgrounds!

He has some crazy awesome hair!

Hahah

Colt running around the grass like a wild animal :)

He fell and bumped his head. Poor guy.

We have been doing a space module and the kids have loved it. So when they saw this rocket they knew just what do.
It is supposed to rain again tomorrow and all weekend so I am happy we took advantage of the sunny days!!!

Witches Brew

One of my friends posted this fun site on facebook and there are so many activities I wanted to try:

Babbledabbledo.com

We decided to start with the witches brew. Baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, glitter and food coloring.

We started adding different colors

When the kids started getting done with this activity we added corn startch and made outside sidewalk paint. This was such a fun project!!! The mess was fairly contained in our sensory bin. Bonus!!! :)

Dragon Birthday

Pierce turned FOUR!!! I really wanted to make him feel special and loved. Last year his birthday fell right during our move so we had a super low key party. It was fun but I wanted to go all out for him this year.

So I asked him what he wanted for his party and without a moments thought he says: "I want a How to Train Your Dragon 2 cake. I want to play twister. I want it at our house. I want ---- to come."

Well okay! So without further ado here is Pierce's How to Train Your Dragon 2 party. Please note some ideas are original and some ideas I got off the internet. What did we EVER do before Google?!?! Seriously!

Balloons and cake.

His cake! I decorated it...be impressed. Lol. Thank goodness for Amazon and cake toppers to make my life easy!
Now the food table:

Now for the activities:

Sheep toss

Fix the tail on the dragon
We had a little trail of dragon prints that led us to a dragon piƱata! Which I forgot to get a picture of. Ugh! It was so fun!
Twister
We had the soundtrack playing in the background! That song is my favorite. Lol!!!!
Cake!!!!

Saffryn was so excited. She made decorations for the party! I thought that was so sweet.
Last but not least goodie bags!!!

We had such a wonderful time! Happy birthday my dear sweet boy! You are so deeply loved!

Baseball Afternoon

Pierce got tickets to a MLB game for his birthday!!! It was such a generous gift! There were four tickets so we had to decide who to take and who stayed home. Dan and I thought it would be special for Colt to tag along with his brother. The last baseball game we went to he talked about for WEEKS so I thought it might be special for him. When we told Pierce it would be a boys day he promptly told me I couldn't come. But I used my mom charm and was able to get an invite :)
The boys fell asleep on the way there. Lol!!
A dad and his boy!
It was free shirt day!!! They are so darn adorable!

Mom and the birthday boy!

The boys enjoyed watching the game. Well for a bit. Haha! Pierce is really starting to understand the rules and point of the game which is so fun!

The boys had plenty of snacks and drinks. And we ended the afternoon with a big bowl of icecream! It was in little batting helmets!

We had such a fun afternoon!!!

P.S SAffryn wasn't suffering. She got to have a special afternoon with her aunt. They made some super delicious cupcakes!
