Spoken Gems

While watching Whinnie The Pooh:
S: "Mom, there is the Maxon."
Me: "Oh the Baxon"
S: "Ya the Maxon."
Me: "I think its with a B. Can you say buh.
S: "Buh."
Me: "Baxon."
S: "Buh maxon."

I give up...lol!

-------------
While putting some groceries away I knocked off some cupcakes from the counter. They were in the plastic case but it messed up the frosting. A bit later Saffryn saw it and asked who did that. I confessed. No big deal. A few hours later I was sitting on the living room floor. Saffryn walks into the kitchen then runs back into the living room and straight into my arms.
S: "I sure love you."
Me: "I sure love you, too. What made you think of that."
S: "I love you even if you make mistakes."
Me: "Oh, what mistake did I make?"
S: Very sweetly started patting my hair. "You ruined the cupcakes. But I still love you."
Me: "That is called giving me grace. You loved me even when I made a mistake and don't deserve it. Thank you for giving me grace."
S: gives me a big hug.

----------------

Dan needed to run to the store and asked Saffryn if she wanted to go. She jumped on the opportunity. Pierce wanted to go, too.
P: "I go, too!"
Dan: "You want to go, too. Okay!"
Pierce takes off running to go to the car. He stops and looks at me.
P: "Bye Mommy." Waving
Me: "Bye buddy! Have fun with daddy!!!"
P: "See you later."
He turns towards the car and stops. He turns back around towards me.
P: "Kiss."
He runs back to me to give me a kiss. He then runs to the car and gets in.

Life does not get much sweeter. Love having these kids around!

Go Bananas

I have started feeding Colt bananas this week. He is only slightly interested. While I was feeding him this evening one of the "big" kids needed something so I sat his bowl of bananas down. Not thinking obviously. When I turned back around he had the bowl and contents all over. I forgot just how far he can reach and how coordinated he is now. Oops!

And obviously quite proud of himself!

Oh that boy!

Mess!

Intently studying his bananas.

And if you know me, you know that instead of cleaning it up right away I let him have a sensory experience! It was already a mess...so why not?!?! And who knows, maybe this will help him be more interested in solid foods!

And just as a side note he learned to scream today. I guess it was only a matter of time. The one thing I absolutely dislike is screaming...and all 3 of my children have perfected it. Lol! Good thing they are so darn adorable!!!

Sums It Up

This picture pretty much sums up my boy:

A dirty face
A headband
More specifically a k-state headband
Holding his 2 bears
Blurry because he was trying to get away from me taking a picture.

Oh what a character!

Fun

Today on my way to a friend's house I stopped at Starbucks to get a few drinks.

While I was paying for it the barista looks back into the tinted windows and asks if there is a little someone back there.

I open the window and tell him how many children are back there. You know what he says?

"Wow! That is SO FUN!!!"

And you know what. It IS!

I very rarely get that reaction and it totally made my day. Yes, its crazy. And loud. And messy. And my hands are full.

And it is oh so fun! It is my pleasure and my joy.

Thanks Starbucks...as if I needed any encouragement to go back!!!

7 months

Little boy is 7 months old!!!

He is such a sweetie! He is super busy and is constantly moving. When he gets excited he flaps his arms like a baby bird. Gigi and I joke about him being able to lift off the ground if he wasn't so hefty. LOL!!!

He is finally starting to sleep better! He is still in the pack n play in the living room but is doing 8-9 hr stretches regularly now! Yippee!

He is in 18 month clothing and size 5 diapers. He has super bright blue eyes and light brown hair. He has a tuft of hair in the front. I love it.

He gets on all 4's now and rocks. It won't be long before he is full speed ahead. He sits by himself very steadily now, easily transfers toys from hand to hand and his overall coordination has greatly improved!

He loves Crash and his siblings! He has a very, very...like tiny interest in table foods now. Slow and steady...right! Still on a dairy free breast milk diet. Not sure when I will start adding dairy. He is so sweet. I love him so much.
